This account is unavailable EN

What the message means, and how to appeal it.

"This account is unavailable" means Rekorder has permanently banned the account you tried to sign in with. A banned account can no longer access Rekorder. If you think the ban was a mistake, you can contact support and ask for it to be reviewed.

What you'll see

When you sign in to a banned account, you land on a page titled "This account is unavailable". It says the account has been permanently banned and can no longer access Rekorder. The page doesn't give a reason for the ban.

This happens whichever way you sign in: with Google, Microsoft, Facebook or Apple, with an emailed link, or by opening a workspace invitation. In every case you're signed out and sent to this page.

How to appeal

  1. On the "This account is unavailable" page, select Contact support. This opens an email to the support team.
  2. Include the email address associated with the banned account. Support uses it to find your account.
  3. Explain why you believe the ban was a mistake.

How long a review takes, and what happens if the ban is overturned

An appeal review can take up to 3 days.

If the ban is overturned, your recordings and workspaces could be restored. This depends on the type of ban, and you might lose some data. Support can tell you more about your case.

Things that won't get around a ban

  • Signing in again. You'll be sent back to the same page each time.
  • Deleting the account. Rekorder keeps your email address on record, marked as deleted, so a banned account stays banned. If you delete a banned account and sign in again, you'll still see "This account is unavailable". For details, see Sign in again after deleting your account.

If you're not sure the banned account is yours, check which email address you signed in with. If you have more than one email address, try the other one.
