The Rekorder popup shows exactly one workspace as your recording target, no matter which one you're browsing on the website. You can see and change that target from the popup, and each workspace in the list carries badges that tell you its plan and whether you're actually allowed to record into it.

Change your recording target

1. Open the Rekorder extension icon to bring up the popup.
2. Select the workspace name at the top of the popup, or open Settings and select Change » next to Workspace.
3. A dropdown lists every workspace you belong to. Select the one you want your next recording to go to.

The change applies immediately - there's no separate save step. If the selection fails, an error appears and you can try again.

This only changes where your next recording is saved. It does not change which workspace you're browsing on the website; see The workspace you are browsing vs the one you record into for that distinction.

Reading the badges

Each workspace in the list shows its name plus one or more badges:

• Pro or Free - the workspace's plan.
• Personal - shown only next to your own personal workspace.
• owned by [name] - shown under a team workspace you don't own, naming the owner.

A workspace you can't currently record into shows a lock icon and the label "Read-only workspace - no paid seat" instead of being selectable. This means you're a member without a paid seat there, or the account's shared free storage and recording time are used up. Your personal workspace never shows this - it's always available as a target. See Who needs a paid seat, and who does not.

The currently selected target is marked with a checkmark, and its name and badges also appear on the trigger above the list, along with a storage and recording-time usage summary when one applies.

Troubleshooting

• A workspace is greyed out and I can't select it. It's read-only for you - no paid seat, or the account's free limits are used up. Ask an owner or admin for a seat, or free up storage.
• My target changed by itself. If a seat you held was removed or a workspace's subscription ended, Rekorder moves your target back to your personal workspace automatically.
• The workspace switcher isn't in the popup at all. You're in Offline mode, where recordings are saved locally and there's no cloud workspace to target. See Cloud mode and Offline mode: which one you are in.
