Multi-select move, archive, unarchive and delete.
You can select several recordings in your Library and move, archive, unarchive or delete them together, instead of repeating the action on each card. The actions are the same ones you get from a single recording's menu.
Select recordings and choose an action
- Open your Library, the Archive view, or a folder.
- Hover over a recording's card and click the checkbox that appears. Click it again to clear it.
- Select as many recordings as you need. A bar appears at the bottom of the page showing how many you've selected.
- Choose an action on the bar: Move, Archive, Unarchive or Delete.
- If Rekorder asks you to confirm, confirm the action. The page then reloads.
To clear your selection, choose Deselect on the bar.
You can only select recordings, not folders. Rekorder doesn't keep your selection when the page reloads or when you open another view, so choose your action before you leave the page.
What each action does
- Move: Opens the Move recordings window. Pick a workspace and a folder, or No folder (workspace root). Nothing is pre-selected. For the rules on which destinations are allowed, see Move recordings between folders and workspaces.
- Archive: Asks "Archive N recording(s)?" and takes the recordings out of your Library and into Archive. Archived recordings still count toward your storage.
- Unarchive: Available in the Archive view. Asks "Restore N recording(s) to your Library?" and brings them back.
- Delete: Permanently deletes the recordings. The confirmation says this can't be undone. See Archive vs delete for what's removed.
Which actions you see
The bar only shows actions that work for every recording you've selected.
- In My Recordings and in folders, you can move, archive or delete.
- In Archive, you can unarchive or delete. To move an archived recording, unarchive it first.
- In Shared with me, the only action is Delete. It removes the recordings from your own list and doesn't delete them for their owner.
- In search results, the actions depend on what you've selected. If you mix recordings you own with ones shared with you, the bar has no actions except Deselect. Select one kind at a time.
- Recordings that teammates made, shown in the All view, have no batch actions. Only the person who owns a recording can move, archive, unarchive or delete it.
If some recordings aren't moved
When you move several recordings and some can't be moved, Rekorder skips those without showing an error, and the rest are still moved. Check the destination afterwards if you selected many.
