Unshare, or revoke someone's access EN

You can take back access to a shared recording in two ways: make it Private to block everyone at once, or remove a single email address from the invite list to block just that person. Both are done from the recording's Share window.

Remove one person

This works when General access is set to Specific people.

1. Open the recording and select Share.
2. Find the person's email in the list and select the x next to it to remove them.
3. Select Invite to save the updated list.

The person is blocked from opening the recording as soon as you save. They aren't notified that they were removed.

Make a recording private again

This blocks everyone at once, regardless of whether the recording was shared with Specific people or Anyone with the link.

1. Open the recording and select Share.
2. Under General access, choose Private.

This takes effect immediately - there's no separate save step for this option.

What this doesn't undo

• The invite list isn't cleared. Switching General access to Private only blocks access - it doesn't remove anyone from the invite list. If you switch back to Specific people later, everyone you'd previously invited is still listed and can open it again. Remove addresses you no longer want there before switching back.
• Copies already made stay made. If someone downloaded the recording, saved it to their own Google Drive, or took a copy of the link while they had access, revoking access doesn't remove or recall that copy.
• Comments and reactions stay. Removing someone, or switching to Private, doesn't delete comments or reactions they already posted - it only stops them opening the recording again.
• Team workspace members are unaffected. If the recording lives in a team workspace with two or more active members, the other members can still open it even after you set access to Private - this is the same workspace exception that applies while sharing. Invited the wrong address by mistake

Remove it the same way as any other person: open Share, select the x next to the incorrect address, and select Invite to save. Then add the correct address if needed.
