Who gets an email when you share EN

When you add someone as a "specific person" on a recording, Rekorder emails them a link the first time you add them - and only the first time. Adding more people later, or re-saving the same list, never re-emails anyone who's already on it.

What triggers the email

1. Open the recording's Share window.
2. Set General access to Specific people.
3. Enter one or more email addresses and select Invite.

Each address you add for the first time gets an email titled "[Your name] shared a recording with you!", with a link to the recording. That address has to sign in with the exact email it was invited with to open the recording - see Private, specific people, or anyone with the link.

Why re-sharing doesn't spam people

Rekorder only emails addresses that weren't already invited to that recording. If you open Share again and add a new person to an existing list, only the new person gets an email - everyone already on the list is left alone, even though you're re-saving the whole list.

• Removing someone and then inviting them back later does email them again, since they're no longer on the recording's invite list at that point.
• Switching General access to Private or Anyone with the link doesn't send any email - the invite email only goes out for Specific people.

What this doesn't cover

• Comments and replies send their own separate email, controlled by the Comment notification setting, not by sharing. See Get, or stop getting, an email when someone comments.
• Teammates who can already open your recordings through the team workspace exception (see Private, specific people, or anyone with the link) don't get a share email - they're not on the invite list, they already have access.
