Where it lives, and how to remove something without deleting it for the owner.
Shared with me is the Library view that lists recordings other people own and you can watch. Removing a recording from it only clears it from your own list. It doesn't delete it for the owner or for anyone else.
The list covers every workspace, not just the one you're browsing. Each card shows the owner's name and picture, and the newest recordings come first.
A recording appears here when either of these is true:
For what each sharing option means, see Private, specific people, or anyone with the link.
A recording doesn't appear here while it's still processing, or if the owner has archived it. It also disappears if the owner deletes it or stops sharing it with you.
The view shows up to 50 recordings. You can also find shared recordings with search. See Find the moment something was said.
Recordings your teammates made in your workspace don't belong in this view. You see those in the All view, once your workspace has two or more members.
You can watch it and comment on it. You can't edit, share, move, archive or delete it, because only the owner can. From a card's menu (the three dots) you can:
If you're allowed to download the recording, the menu also offers Save to Google Drive. See Save a recording to Google Drive.
In Shared with me, the card menu calls this action Delete, but it doesn't delete the recording. Rekorder's confirmation window is titled Remove from your list.
The confirmation says the recording "will not be deleted for the owner or anyone else." The owner's copy, and everyone else's access, stay as they are.
To remove several at once, select their checkboxes and choose Delete on the bar at the bottom of the page. See Select several recordings and act on them at once.
Removing something can't be undone from your side, but you can get it back if the owner shares it with you again or, for a public recording, by opening it again.
