When yours started, the reminders you will get, and what goes first if it runs out.
A grace period is the 30 days you get to get back within the free limits after a paid seat that covered your recordings ends. Nothing is deleted while it runs. If you're still over the limits when it ends, Rekorder may delete your oldest recordings that no paid seat covers, oldest first, and only as many as it takes to get back under.
A grace period starts when a paid seat ends and your recordings that seat covered push your account over the free limits (60 minutes of recording time or 1 GB of storage). A seat can end because:
The 30 days count from the day the seat ended. The recordings it covered start counting towards your free limits straight away.
If you never had a paid seat and simply filled your free allowance, you're not in a grace period and this deletion doesn't apply to you. See What happens when you go over your free limits.
If you're back within both limits when the seat ends, or you have a seat in another workspace that keeps you under, no grace period starts.
You'll see a banner in your Library that shows how many days are left and how far over the limits you are. It also names the date the grace period ends.
Rekorder also emails the address on your account about 30, 15, 7, 3 and 1 days before the end. Each reminder is sent once. The subject reads "[N] days left to get back within your free limits", and "Last day to get back within your free limits" on the final one. Make sure Rekorder's emails aren't going to spam. See The emails Rekorder sends, and how to stop them.
If the grace period has run out and you're still over, the banner changes to "Your grace period has ended".
Deletion starts immediately when the 30 days are up. If you're still over the free limits, Rekorder may delete recordings in this order:
So you don't necessarily lose everything outside a seat. You lose the oldest ones, as many as it takes.
A deleted recording is gone for good, with its video and audio, transcript, chapters and summary. Rekorder can't bring it back, even if you subscribe again afterwards. See Can I recover a deleted recording?.
Imported files in your asset library count towards your storage, but Rekorder doesn't delete them. If they alone take you over 1 GB, deleting recordings may not get you back under the limit.
After a deletion, Rekorder emails you a list of the recordings it removed. If they were in a workspace someone else owns, that workspace's owner gets an email too.
Any of these ends it and cancels the deletion:
Moving recordings to another free workspace doesn't help, because both limits belong to your account. If a later seat loss puts you over again, a new 30 days start and the reminders begin again from the top.
Support can't extend a grace period, so act before the 30 days are up. For the steps, see Get out of a grace period.
