Set per recording, by the owner.
As the owner of a recording, you can choose whether Rekorder emails you when someone comments on it. This is a per-recording setting, and only the owner can control it - viewers don't get any say in it.
This only affects that one recording.
If someone replies directly to a comment you wrote - on any recording, not just ones you own - you can get a separate email: "[Name] replied to your comment on "[recording]"". This follows your account-wide default, not the Comment notification setting on that particular recording.
To stop reply emails, turn Comment notification off on any recording you own and select Set defaults. That saves your current choice, including this one, as your account-wide default and switches reply emails off too.
Comment notification is one of the settings you can save as your default instead of setting it recording by recording:
Your saved default applies to any recording where you haven't changed this setting yourself, including recordings you already have - not only ones you make afterwards. If you've already turned it on or off for a specific recording, that recording keeps its own value even after you change your default. See Set sharing defaults for every future recording.
If you're not getting comment emails you expect:
For other reasons an email might not arrive, see The emails Rekorder sends, and how to stop them.
