Share a recording EN

Every recording has a Share recording window where you set who can open it. Choose to keep it private, invite specific people by email, or share a link anyone can open.

Share a recording

1. Open the recording. From the video page, select Share near the top. From your Library, hover over the recording's thumbnail and select the share icon, or open its three-dot menu and choose Share.
2. Under General access, choose one:
   • Private - only you can open the recording.
   • Specific people - only the people you invite can open it. Enter their email addresses separated by commas (add a name too if you like, e.g. John Doe <[email protected]>), then select Invite.
   • Anyone with the link - anyone who has the link can open the recording. Select Copy link to copy it.
3. Select Done.

What each access level means

• Private: nobody else can open the recording, with one exception - if you record into a team workspace that has two or more active members, the other members can always open your recordings, even while access is set to Private.
• Specific people: a viewer has to sign in with the exact email address you invited. Signing in with a different address, or not signing in at all, doesn't work.
• Anyone with the link: anyone with the link can watch, whether they're signed in or not. They only need to sign in to comment or react.

After you share

• Each person you invite gets an emailed link the first time you add them. Adding more people later doesn't re-email the ones already invited. See Who gets an email when you share.
• Whether viewers can download the recording, read its transcript, or comment is controlled separately, on the recording's Settings tab. See Stop viewers downloading, or hide the transcript.
• To stop someone watching, change the general access or remove their address from the invite list. See Unshare, or revoke someone's access.
• To use the same access level and settings on every new recording, save them as your defaults. See Set sharing defaults for every future recording.
