The control bar ended up in my video EN

If the on-page control bar shows up in your finished video, it's because the Interface setting was UI in tab for that recording. In this mode the bar is added directly onto the page you're recording, so a tab recording captures it along with everything else on the page. Switch to Only in preview tab to keep it off the page entirely.

Why it happens

• Rekorder can put the recording controls in two places: on the page itself (UI in tab), or only in the separate recorder tab that opens while you record (Only in preview tab).
• UI in tab is the default. The bar is a real element added to the page you're recording, so whatever a tab recording captures includes it - the same way it would include anything else visible on that page.
• This only affects tab recordings. When you record a window, your entire screen or just your camera, there's no on-page bar to begin with, so this doesn't apply.

Keep it out of your next recording

1. Click the Rekorder icon in your Chrome toolbar to open the popup.
2. Open the settings and go to the Camera tab.
3. Under Interface, choose Only in preview tab.

With this setting, nothing is added to the page you're recording. You start, pause and stop from the recorder tab instead of a bar on the page. Rekorder remembers this choice for future recordings. Fixing a recording you already made

There's no way to remove the bar from a video after it's recorded - the editor doesn't have a tool for painting over part of the frame. If the bar ruined a take, the only fix is to record it again with Only in preview tab selected first.
