My recording stopped by itself EN

Rekorder normally keeps recording until you click Stop, but a few situations will end a recording on their own. Here are the usual causes, and what happens to the footage you had already captured.

Common causes

• You closed the recorder tab. When you start recording, Rekorder opens an extra background tab that runs the recording (see The extra tab that opens when you record). Closing that tab stops the recording immediately, the same as clicking Stop.
• You closed or navigated away from what you were capturing. If you're recording a tab, window or your whole screen, the recording stops when the thing being captured is closed, when you navigate away from a captured tab, or when you stop the share from Chrome's own sharing controls.
• You hit a recording limit. Recordings stop automatically once you reach a time or storage limit on your plan. See Is there a maximum recording length? and You hit a limit mid-recording. Was the take lost?.
• Your computer went to sleep. Recording needs your computer to stay awake and Chrome to keep running. If your machine sleeps or Chrome closes mid-recording, the recording is interrupted. See If Chrome crashes or your laptop sleeps mid-recording.

What happens to what you already recorded

Rekorder uploads your recording in chunks while you record, not only at the end (see Your recording uploads while you are still recording), so whatever was captured before the stop is normally still saved to your library. If you don't see it there, check The recording never appeared in my library.
