Expired, already used, replaced or refused - which message means what, and how to get a link that works.
The link in your account-deletion email opens a page that names your account and asks you to confirm. If it doesn't do that, the page tells you why instead. Match the heading it shows to a section below.
The link works for 60 minutes after Rekorder emails it. Past that, it stops working. Nothing has been deleted or scheduled - the request simply lapsed.
Ask again in Settings → Deletion to get a new link.
Only the newest link works. If you click Email me the confirmation link more than once, each new email replaces the one before it - the old link shows "This confirmation link no longer works" too, even if it hasn't been 60 minutes yet. Use the link from the most recent email.
These two messages both mean the link already did its job, so it can't confirm anything again:
Rekorder won't schedule a deletion that would leave a Pro subscription still billing an account that no longer exists. If a workspace you own has auto-renew on, the page lists it - for example "Acme — renews on Oct 3, 2026" - instead of letting you confirm.
Turn off auto-renew for each workspace listed in Billing, then open the same link again. It still works, as long as it hasn't expired. See Why the Delete button is disabled.
The token Rekorder needs isn't in the URL you opened. This usually happens when an email app or a link preview shortens or cuts the link. Go back to the email and make sure you open the whole link, not just part of it. Nothing has been deleted or scheduled. If it still doesn't work, ask again in Settings → Deletion.
This appears if clicking Yes, delete my account fails unexpectedly. Nothing was deleted or scheduled. Click the button again. If it keeps happening, ask again in Settings → Deletion for a fresh link, or contact support.
