Nested folders, and what happens to the videos inside one you delete.

You can group recordings into folders in your library, and put folders inside other folders as deep as you like. Deleting a folder never deletes the videos in it.

Create a folder

Open your library in the dashboard, on My Recordings or All.
Select New Folder.
Type a name and confirm. Names can be up to 50 characters.

The new folder appears under Folders, above your recordings. Select it to open it.

Nest a folder inside another

Open the folder you want as the parent, then select New Folder. The new folder is created inside the folder you're viewing. If you're at the top level of the workspace, it's created there instead.

There's no limit on how deeply you can nest folders. Use the back arrow at the top of a folder to go up one level.

Put a recording in a folder

Open the recording's menu in your library and select Move ….
In the Move recording window, pick the Workspace and the Folder. Choose No folder (workspace root) to take a recording out of a folder.
Select Move.

You can also select several recordings and move them together. Only recordings can be moved this way. A folder's menu offers only Rename and Delete, so you can't move an existing folder into another one. Create the folder where you want it instead.

Rename a folder

Hover over the folder and select the three-dot More options button.
Select Rename, type the new name and confirm.

Delete a folder

Hover over the folder and select the three-dot More options button.
Select Delete.
Read the confirmation, then select Delete to confirm.

Deleting a folder removes the folder and every sub-folder inside it. The videos are kept:

Every video in the folder, including videos in its sub-folders, moves to the folder's parent folder.
If the deleted folder was at the top level, the videos move to the workspace root. That's the main view of the workspace, outside any folder.

The confirmation message names the place your videos will move to. Sub-folders are not kept, so the videos from a nested folder end up in the parent all together. Move them into new folders again if you want to keep them grouped.

Folders and workspaces

Folders belong to a workspace. A folder in one workspace doesn't appear in another.
My Recordings shows your own folders. All shows everyone's folders in the workspace. All only appears once the workspace has at least two members. Folders created by a teammate show a small info icon with their name.
You can rename or delete your own folders. The workspace owner can also rename or delete any member's folder. Other members don't see the More options button on folders they didn't create.
You can create a sub-folder only inside a folder you created. If New Folder fails inside a teammate's folder, that's why.
You can't create folders from the Archive, Shared with me or search views.
