Suggest a playback speed to your audience EN

What viewers see when you set one.

You can suggest a playback speed for a recording so viewers who want to move faster (or slower) than normal speed know a good pace to use. It's a suggestion, not a limit - viewers can still pick any speed themselves, or ignore it.

Set a suggested speed

  1. Open the recording and go to the Settings tab.
  2. Next to Suggest a playback speed, choose a speed from the list: 0.8x, 1x, 1.2x, 1.5x, 1.7x, 2x or 2.5x. Choose None to turn the suggestion off.

The change saves immediately - there's no separate save button, and a green check confirms it. To apply the same speed to every future recording instead of setting it each time, use Set defaults at the bottom of the Settings tab. See Set sharing defaults for every future recording.

What viewers see

When a speed is suggested, viewers see a bar above the player: "The creator of this video suggests a playback speed of [speed]x".

  • Selecting the speed switches their player to it right away.
  • Selecting the close icon dismisses the bar for that viewing. It isn't a permanent choice - the bar reappears if they reload the page.

Viewers aren't required to use the suggested speed. They can change the player's speed at any time from its own settings menu, which offers the same speed options.

This setting only affects viewers. As the owner, it has no effect on your own playback.
