Import images, video and audio once to your account, then reuse them as overlays in the editor.
The asset library is where you keep images, videos and audio to reuse in the editor, such as a logo or background music. You import a file once, and you can then place it on any of your recordings' timelines.
Assets belong to your account, not to a workspace. Your teammates can't see them or use them, and they're the same whichever workspace you're browsing.
You can also import a file while you're editing, from Import assets… in the editor's Edit tab. It lands in the same library. See Add a logo, image, clip or background audio.
For the full list of limits, see Asset file types, size and length limits.
Each card shows a thumbnail, the asset's name, its type, its size, and, for images and videos, its dimensions. Videos and audio also show their length. Audio files get a waveform as their thumbnail. Assets are listed alphabetically by name.
Deleting an asset is permanent and can't be undone. If the asset is still on a recording's timeline when you render, it's left out of the rendered video.
The name comes from the file name when you import. The library doesn't keep your original file name once you rename it.
Assets count toward the same storage as your recordings. On the free plan, if you've used all your free storage, imports are refused until you free some space or upgrade to Pro. Deleting a recording or an asset gives the space back straight away.
A paid seat in a team workspace covers that workspace's recordings, not your assets. See The free allowance: 60 minutes and 1 GB, explained and What happens when you go over your free limits.
