Save the settings you use most, and still override them one recording at a time.
Every recording has a Settings tab with six options that control what viewers can do and what you're notified about. Instead of setting them one by one, you can save your usual choices as your account-wide defaults, so every new recording starts with them already applied.
Until you save your own defaults, every new recording starts with all of these on, and no playback speed suggested.
General access - whether a recording is Private, shared with specific people, or open to anyone with the link - isn't part of these defaults. Every new recording starts out Private, and you set its access level separately in the Share window each time. See Share a recording.
You can still change any of these six settings on a single recording without touching your saved defaults - open that recording's Settings tab and toggle the option. The change saves immediately and only affects that recording.
One thing worth knowing: your saved defaults apply to any recording where you haven't changed that particular setting yourself - not only to recordings you make afterwards. If you go back and update a default, older recordings you never customized will pick up the new value too. Recordings where you've already changed that setting keep the value you gave them.
