You can download any recording you own as an MP4 file from its video page. Downloading is free on every plan.
The file is named after the recording. Spaces become underscores, and anything other than letters, numbers, underscores and hyphens is dropped. If nothing is left, the file is called video.mp4.
You get the current version of the recording. If you've trimmed it, applied a noise filter or rendered it since recording, the download includes those changes. The download doesn't give you the pre-edit original. The format and resolution badge next to the title only opens Original file details and doesn't download anything. If the recording is still processing, the player shows a message instead of the video, and there's nothing to download yet. The page reloads when the video is ready. See Why editing, sharing and captions wait for processing.
Watching a recording and keeping a copy of it are two different permissions. Anyone who can open a recording can play it. Only some people can also download it:
The recording's link plays the video. It isn't a link to a file you can save. See Why a recording link is not a direct file link.
To stop viewers from downloading, or to allow it, change the Download setting on the recording's Settings tab. See Stop viewers downloading, or hide the transcript.
