The whole thing, as a plain text file.
You can download a recording's transcript as a plain text (.txt) file, which is handy for pasting it into a document or an email.
The file is saved to your computer as a .txt file.
Each line of the transcript starts with a time stamp showing when it begins in the recording, followed by the text. For example:
00:05 Okay, so this is about the standard model
Here the line starts 5 seconds into the recording.
The file is named after the recording. Spaces become underscores and characters other than letters, numbers, hyphens and underscores are dropped. For example, "Q3 demo" becomes Q3_demo.txt. If nothing is left of the name, the file is called video.txt.
As the owner, you can always download the transcript. People you share the recording with can download it too, as long as you've allowed access to the transcript in the recording's sharing settings.
If you turn transcript access off, viewers don't see the Transcript tab, so they can't download it. See Stop viewers downloading, or hide the transcript.
