Chunks while you record, settings, and logs if you turned them on.
The Rekorder extension keeps a small amount of data in Chrome on your computer: recording chunks, your settings, and log files if you turned logging on. It stays in the extension's own storage area, which other websites and programs can't browse. Chrome calls this area OPFS.
While you record, Rekorder saves the video in small pieces called chunks. What happens to them next depends on your mode.
If your device runs low on space, Chrome may remove recordings that only exist in Offline mode. In Offline mode the extension shows how much local storage is used and free. Download recordings you want to keep. See Where offline recordings are stored, and how to keep them.
The extension also keeps its settings, the state of any recording in progress, and a few cached values. One of these is the result of the check that picks a default quality for camera effects on your device.
Logs are only saved if you turn on Logging on the Advanced tab of the extension's settings. A log records what the recorder printed during a recording. It's meant for reporting problems.
See Turn on logging and send a log file to support.
