Upgrade a workspace to Pro EN

From pricing or from Users & Seats, through to an assigned seat.

Pro is bought for one workspace at a time, as a number of paid seats. You choose how many seats and whether to pay monthly or yearly, complete checkout with a card or PayPal, and then hand the seats out to the people in that workspace who record, upload or edit.

Before you start

You need to be signed in. If you press Get Pro while signed out, the sign-in panel opens first and brings you back to checkout.
Only the owner of a workspace can buy Pro for it. Admins can manage members and seats, but not billing.
A personal workspace can only ever have one seat. Anything larger is a team workspace.
A seat is only needed for someone who records, uploads, edits or generates captions. Viewers, commenters and downloaders are free and unlimited, so do not count them.
You do not need the workspace to exist yet. You can create one part-way through checkout and carry on.

Start from the pricing page

Open the Pricing page.
Switch between Monthly and Yearly. Yearly is cheaper per seat, and the saving is shown next to the toggle.
Set Team size. Use the slider, the plus and minus buttons, or type the number. The price updates as you go, and volume discounts are applied automatically once the team is big enough.
Select Get Pro.
What happens next depends on the team size:
- 1 seat takes you straight to checkout for your own personal workspace.
- 2 or more seats opens Choose a workspace. Pick the workspace you are buying for and select Continue, or pick + New workspace to create one first - checkout resumes by itself once the new workspace exists.

In the workspace list, rows you cannot buy for are greyed out, with the reason underneath: a personal workspace, a workspace owned by someone else, or one that is already on the Pro plan.

Start from Users & Seats

On a team workspace that has no paid seats, the Users & Seats page shows No paid seats with an Upgrade to Pro link. That link opens pricing already quoting a two-seat team, so you only have to adjust the number and continue as above.

Complete the checkout

Checkout opens on a Get Pro page for the workspace you picked.

Choose Card or PayPal at the top.
Fill in the Billing address: your name, an optional company name, address, country, state or region, city and postal code.
Under Additional details, optionally Add Tax ID (a VAT number, which can remove VAT from the total) and Add PO number for your own records.
Check the Subscription details panel on the right: the workspace, the plan, monthly or yearly, the number of seats, the subtotal, VAT and Due today. Leave Auto-renewal on unless you want the subscription to stop at the end of the period.
Finish paying:
- Card: select Complete purchase, tick the three confirmations about automatic renewal, the renewal notice and your right to cancel, then select Continue and enter your card details. Your bank may ask you to authenticate the payment.
- PayPal: the button reads Confirm and continue. Confirm the same three points, then use the PayPal buttons that appear and approve the subscription in the PayPal window.
Wait on the Activating your workspace… screen. When it says your subscription is active, select Go to Dashboard.

If the workspace has a cancelled subscription with paid time still on it, checkout restores renewal instead of selling you a new plan: the interval, the seat count and the currency are taken from the existing subscription, and on a card nothing is charged today.

Assign the seats

The workspace owner is given a paid seat automatically as soon as the subscription activates, and cannot be unassigned. Hand out the rest on Users & Seats:

Open Users & Seats for the upgraded workspace. The meter shows how many of your seats are assigned and how many are available.
Open the menu on a person's row.
Select Assign paid seat for someone who has already joined, or Reserve a seat on a pending invitation - a reserved seat transfers to them when they accept.

People without a seat keep full access to watch, comment on and download the workspace's recordings.

Troubleshooting

"Only the workspace owner can buy Pro for it." Someone else owns that workspace. Ask them to buy, or pick a workspace you own.
"This workspace already has an active Pro subscription." It is already renewing. To change how many seats it has, use Users & Seats instead of buying again.
"Your checkout session is no longer available. Please start again." The checkout you had stashed has lapsed, or the workspace changed underneath it. Nothing was charged - start again from pricing.
"Your checkout total changed. Please refresh pricing and start checkout again." The quote you were looking at is no longer valid, usually because the tax treatment changed with your billing address.
PayPal is unavailable. PayPal cannot start a subscription while the workspace still has active Pro time left from a cancelled one. Pay by card, or wait until that time runs out.
The extension popup still says Free. The purchase has landed but the extension has not picked it up yet.
