Does it work in Firefox or Safari? EN

You can't record with Rekorder in Firefox or Safari, because the Rekorder extension only runs in Google Chrome and other Chromium-based browsers. You can still sign in and use the Rekorder website in Firefox or Safari.

What works where

• Recording: Needs the extension, in Chrome or another Chromium-based browser, version 116 or later.
• The Rekorder website: Works in any browser, including Firefox and Safari.

Chromium is the open-source foundation Chrome is built on. Many other browsers use it too, including Edge, Brave and Opera, and the extension works in them.

If you use Firefox or Safari

Keep using your usual browser for everything else. To record, open Chrome or another Chromium browser, install the extension and sign in to the same account. Your recordings then appear in your library, and you can open that library from any browser. For the steps, see Install Rekorder and pin it to your toolbar.

Using Edge, Brave or Opera

Install the extension from the Chrome Web Store, the same listing Chrome uses. If the extension won't install, check your browser's version. It needs to be 116 or later. To check, open your browser's About page in its settings. If the version is older, update the browser and try again.
